Make sure you can see file extensions - open Windows File Explorer, on the View Toolbar check the box marked 'File Name Extensions'

On your Desktop, create a new Text Document (right click and choose 'New' - Text Document

Paste this text into the document:

00,73,00,68,00,65,00,6c,00,6c,00,33,00,32,00,2e,00,64,00,6c,00,6c,00,2c,00,\
2d,00,36,00,34,00,39,00,33,00,00,00
"Directory"=""
"Handler"="{85BBD920-42A0-1069-A2E4-08002B30309D}"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Briefcase\ShellNew\Config]
"IsFolder"=""
"NoExtension"=""

Save the document with a meaningful name and change the file extension from .txt to .reg

Hi,

The New context menu allows users to quickly create a new item in the current location.

You can add Briefcase to the New context menu and use it to keep files in sync between two different computers.

We noticed that you have tried the solution provided by DaveM121. Have you tried visiting the link that Bruce Hagen suggested to add Briefcase?

We strongly recommend that you consider the solution suggested by Bruce Hagen.

If you have other concerns, don't hesitate to get back to us.

Hi,

We have tried different solutions to add Briefcase on your Start menu, it seems your concern is more complex than what is typically answered in the Microsoft Answers forums.

It is suited for the IT Pro audience on TechNet. Click here to post your question in the TechNet Windows 10 Networking forum.
